Certificate Admission Requirements

  1. Current RN/RPN registration if appropriate and/or:

    - Accredited college or university degree, diploma, or certificate from a relevant course of study (e.g., Police Foundations, Law and Security, Criminology, Justice Studies, Social Service Worker, Practical Nursing, etc.) or:

    - Current serving police officer or other current relevant work history (e.g. private/auxiliary police, corporate/government security and investigators, etc.) with a minimum of two (2) years experience (Letter of successful employment from applicant’s Human Resources office (stating position title and years of service) required and for all applicants:

    - English proficiency at the College level. (e.g. Ontario Grade 12 English: College (C), University (U), General or Advanced level or equivalent, or Seneca College English EAC150 or equivalent)
     
  2. This is a co-operative program between Seneca College and British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT). Credits from this program may be transferable to BCIT if accepted into their Bachelor of Technology (Forensic Investigation) or Advanced Specialty Certificate (Forensic Health Science) program.
     
  3. All new applicants to this Program must complete a Program Application Form. You may download and complete this form, or pick one up at the Seneca College King Campus location only (address listed in #6 below).
     
  4. All applicants must submit official transcripts for English admissions requirement.
     
  5. Applicants must submit official original transcripts of academic credentials
     
  6. Mail or deliver this application along with all supporting documentation to the following Seneca location only: Admissions, Seneca College, King Campus, 13990 Dufferin Street, King City, ON, L7B 1B3, Attention: FORENSIC HEALTH STUDIES
     
  7. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that all required documentation is submitted to Seneca College for final approval. Applications are processed only when all required documentation (see list below) has been received. Do not send partial or incomplete applications.
